Ramsey Set For Cardiff City Return

Former Cardiff City midfielder Aaron Ramsey appears set to return to the Bluebirds for a loan spell with the highly rated Arsenal prospect in South Wales today to discuss a temporary switch.

Ramsey left to join the Gunners in a £5m switch and impressed until a horrific leg break saw him sidelined and out of the Arsenal reckoning. A previous short term loan at Nottingham Forest saw him return to action, but Rmabo was frustrated by the weatehr as several fixtures were postponed.

Dave Jones was disappointed to lose out on him to Forest, but remained hopeful a deal could be struck and appears to have pulled off a coup with a deal for the influential midfielder, who will join fellow Gunners youngster Jay Emmanuel-Thomas at the CCS.

The deal is not expected to go through in time for Ramsey to feature against Watford tomorrow but it is hoped the deal can be finalised early next week.

A tremendous player, and one who can undoubtedly unlock defences. With McPhail suffering an injury blow, there is an opportunity for another midfielder to provide cover - but a player of Ramsey's class can, if fit, make a huge difference.
