Cardiff City's New Signing - Injured !
Cardiff City wrapped up the signing of big Jon Parkin from Preston North End to provide much needed back-up to regular target man Jay Bothroyd. We are on a dire run at the moment, not helped by the absense of key man Bothroyd with a hamstring problem.
That would suggest the capture of Parkin would be even more welcome, except for the fact that he is injured and unavailable to face Leeds United tomorrow!
Parkin has an ankle injury, and will not feature against Leeds United. The injury was known to the Bluebirds prior to the transfer and he is expected to be fit within a week. The pre-existing injury did not affect his medical.
Parkin will likely make his debut in the FA Cup clash away at Stoke City at the weekend. Hopefully Bothroyd will be back to spearhead the Bluebirds attack against Leeds United - we need him.
