Cardiff City's dismal spell of form has finally seen us fall from the second place we had been clinging to for weeks and after a win for Swansea City, an impressive win for Norwich City over QPR and a late equaliser for Leeds against Boro - the Bluebirds have slipped to fifth place.
Far more worrying than the league position, is the terrible form and after back-to-back defeats against Watford and Bristol City - the Bluebirds look a shadow of their former selves. That's an aggregate of 7-1 from the last two games.
We remain 5 points ahead of Millwall in the final play-off position, while if we were to win our game in hand - we would also jump back ahead of rivals Swansea City. That suggest we remain in a good position, but with the players performing as they are, and the continued lack of an effective system and tactics - Cardiff City are almost in crisis.
The desperately poor form is bitterly disappointing, and we are under-performing to an alarming extent. The transfer window is now open, and hopefully that, and the imminent return of Jay Bothroyd will provide the boost we need to get back-on track. It's thanks to the unpredictable nature of this division that we are still in contention - that won't be the case if this run continues any longer.
Jonesy - sort them out.
