Cardiff City Star Selected By Capello
Cardiff City striekr Jay Bothroyd has been neamed in the preliminary England squad to face France next week in an International friendly.
The full squad will be announced over the weekend, but Jay's inclusion in the prelim. squad is recognition for his fine form this season, in which he has proved indispensible to our style, and currently leads the scoring charts.
Dave Jones told the press conference today:
'He's in the prelim. and we're hoping that he'll be in the full squad.'
'No disrespect to Wales and Scotland, but England is a bigger nation and a bigger team and all of a sudden we would have a player in it that proves the Championship isn't as bad a division as what people think.'
Massive congratulations to Jay Bothroyd, who has been simply excellent for Cardiff City. This is a huge achievement for him, but well deserved and he can certainly offer a significant contribution to England's frontline.
