Double Award Boost For Cardiff City

Cardiff City frontman Jay Bothroyd and his managert Dave Jones have both been recognised for their contributions after scooping the Championship manager and player of the month awards for October.

City enjoyed a great run of form winning all five games during October, the highlights being a great comeback against Bristol City and a 4-0 thumping of Leeds United. We closed the gap on QPR at the top of the division, and briefly took over at the summit.

Bothroyd has also been outstanding, and helped himself to 5 goals in those 5 games, scoring in 4 outings. His goals have added to high already impressive forward play and he remains the fulcrum of our attacking style and is irreplaceable for City.

Hopefully the typical November wobble will not be forthcoming, but 1 point from the 2 games thus far in the month suggests we were spoilt in October - a win on Saturday against Scunthorpe Utd would be a welcome boost.
