'If It's Football, It's Vital'

2006/07 fixtures released

Cardiff start away from home yet again with a long trip to Oakwell and Barnsley FC. Barnsley fans are unhappy with Cardiff after the recent acquisition of Barnsley key player Stephen McPhail and transfer target and local hero Michael Chopra. The tykes are newly promoted via the play-offs and will be keen to make a good impression on their return to the second teir.

The new season begins August 5th.

The first home game is the following tuesday when West Bromwich Albion visit Ninian Park.

McPhail isn't going to get a great reception. Chopra will probably be aplauded though - not really a local hero though as he's from Tyneside.

Sorry Tyke. Just meant that he's a hero in Barnsley - as we hope he will soon be in Cardiff !
