Former Bluebird Purse Enjoys Leeds Romp

Former Cardiff City captain Darren Purse was in attendance to see his former team thrash Leeds United 4-0 last night. The experienced centre-back moved to Yorkshire prior to last season, and remains with Sheffield Wednesday.

Purse has helped his new club to fourth in League One so far this season, and the Owls are currently on a 6 match unbeaten run.

When unavailable for Cardiff City, Purse always preferred to watch the games from the stands, in with the supporters, rather than from the comfort of the director's box/squad family seating area. He was clearly visible last night at Elland Road and seemed to be enjoying himself, also responding to requests from the visiting fans to 'do the ayatollah'.

An ultimately highly successful trip to Yorkshire for the travelling Bluebirds - it made the long journey home all the more worthwhile.
