Craig Bellamy: Playing Away From Home ?!?

Cardiff City's on-loan attacker Craig Bellamy has been limited in his appearances for the Bluebirs so far with a training and playing schedule tailored to prevent aggrevation of his longstanding knee problems.

He featured during the win against his former club Coventry City and is likely to play a part tonight as the Bluebirds travel to face Leeds United at Elland Road. That is a tough game, and of course we'd hope to name our strongest line-up.

However, unfortunately for the Bluebirds fans - there has been precious little sight of our 'big name' player at the CCS with his appearances at home limited to just one so far this season!

Bellamy scored during his debut, a fantastic 35 yard free-kick in a 4-0 win over Doncaster Rovers. Since then, he has only featured in away games against Portsmouth, Barnsley and Coventry City (we won all four games). If, as expected, Bellers line-up at Elland Road tonight, it will be another away appearance and mean he is almost certain to miss Saturday's home clash with Norwich City. The alternative would be three games in a week - highly unlikely.

The home supporters could be forgiven for thinking of a conspiracy, having witnessed just 90 minutes of Bellamy during our 6 home games to date.

That said, if you follow through Dave Jones' logic, he would miss the Norwich game but then be available for the next Championship game, which happily will be played at home. The opponents that day? Swansea City.
