Cardiff City Starlet In Team Of The Week
Cardiff City defender Darcy Blake has been named in the npower Championship team of the week after an impressive performance during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Sheffield United.
Blake was selected ahead of Adam Matthews and Paul Quinn at right-back for the game, and put in a typically committed performance. Particularly pleasing was Blake's willingness to get forward and his understanding with Chris Burke gre as the game went on, becoming a real threat late in the game.
It's been an excellent week for Blake after finally breaking into the team based on form rather than because of injury/suspension. He won his first senior Wales and has now been named in the team of the week.
