Aberdeen Sign Former Bluebird Magennis
Aberdeen have copmpleted the signing of former Cardiff City striker Josh Magennis, who was surprisingly let go by Dave Jones at the end of the season.
Magennis was a powerful and pacy player, who worked very hard in training. He had made an impression in his handful of appearances, despite being raw and inexperienced. A broken leg saw him miss out on the majority of last season but he made a welcome return to the bench by the end of the campaign.
Many were surprised when Jones deceided to release the Northern Ireland U21s forward, not least the player himself who had been told he was likely to be handed a new deal. The decision to release him seems even more crazy now with not even Magennis or Warren feeney to cover Bothroyd's position - he himself is only just returning to fitness!
