Cardiff City To Face Burton Albion In Cup

Cardiff City To Face Burton Albion In Cup

Cardiff City have been handed a home tie in the Carling Cup after being drawn against npower league 2 side Burton Albion.

The game will be played at CCS in the week commencing 9th August and will provide a useful opportunity for youth and new players to get to know their team-mates and hopefully stake a claim for a starting position in the all important league games.

Cardiff City have never played Burton Albion before. The Brewers were promoted from the Conference in 2009, and finished in a creditable 13th position in League 2 last season, despite the loss of manager Nigel Clough.
