Cardiff City Confirm Deportivo Friendly

Cardiff City have confirmed that Spanish La Liga giants Deportivo de la Coruna will visit the CCS for a pre-season friendly to be played Saturday 31st July, kick-off 3pm.

This exciting tie will be in addition to our pre-season tour to Malaysia, currently in the final stages of preparation, with other trips to Notts County and Bath City.

Full ticket details are available here on the official website but with adult tickets priced at £11 for season ticket holders (and £15 for non season-ticket holders) - the club look to have raised their game after complaints about the hike (£24) last year after the move across the road. Additionally, a welcome gesture is the inclusion of a £1 donation to the Fred Keenor Statue appeal in the ticket price.

We have been lucky with pre-season frienlies in recent years with the likes of Ajax, Lazio and Udinese visiting Ninian Park and both Celtic and Valencia gracing the CCS last season. For those games, the attendance was a little disappointing, however, lining up Deportivo in the CCS is no mean feat and should prove an excellent pre-season appetizer!
