Cardiff City Appeal For Fans Behaviour

Cardiff City FC have made a joint and important appeal to Bluebirds fans attending Wednesday's all-important play-off semi-final second leg at the CCS.

A full house and volatile atmosphere is envisaged, and the club have appealed to ALL fans on two counts:

1) Get there early !!!

This is an evening game with many coming after work and even hoping to sneak a cheeky pint or two in before kick-off. Additionally, many fans will need to collect their tickets from the collection booth. The sheer volume of people, and the limited time will make significant queues inevitable. Therefore, all supporters should endeavor to arrive early. Who wants to be stuck outside at kick-off, for that matter who doesn't want to be there to welcome the players onto the pitch and give 100% support ? Arrive early to avoid disappointment.

2) Stay off the pitch

Apart from the pitch not being able to take the players and officials boots most weeks, there are significant health and safety risks associated with a pitch invasion after the final whistle. Clearly, emotions will be high whatever the result but police, potential fines and banning orders are all that await you. The final whistle will either mark the end of the Bluebirds season, or a dream trip to Wembley so the players intend to come back onto the pitch. This will not happen if supporters run on. The media always love a chance to showcase bad behavious and there will always be a minority who will look to incite trouble. Keep off the pitch, you paid for a seat - sit on it, or stand next to it.
