Cardiff City face a hugely important game at home to Peterborough and the response to both the 4-4 debacle at London Road, and the 5-1 away mauling by Newcastle will be key.
Cardiff City have another injury worry ahead of the game to add to their mounting list on the treatment table. Joe Ledley (hip), Gavin Rae (hamstring), Kelvin Etuhu (ankle), Josh Magennis (broken leg) and Mark Hudson (ankle) are all ruled out.
The new injury problem is key striker Jay Bothroyd, withdrawn against Newcastle and in the treatment room this week with a thigh problem. He will face a late fitness test and is currently rated doubtful.
Stephen McPhail is happily back in contention following his cancer treatment, while youngster Aaron Wildig will also hope for a start after scoring a good finish at Newcastle for his first senior Bluebirds goal. Chris Burke is another hoping to earn a recall, but his inclusion would likely be at the expense or Ross McCormack.
Peter borough have few injury problems themselves, although versatile midfielder Charlie Lee was withdrawn on the weekend. Lee Frecklington is on standby to replace him.
Rock botton Posh have appointed Jim Gannon as the new boss, and he has gotten off to a good start with a win over QPR. They have significant firepower in the squad and a good team spirit, though the away form has been particularly poor.
