Jay Rejects Jacks & Is 'Cardiff Through & Through'

Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd has laughed off reports linking rivals Swansea City with a move for the fromer Arsenal trainee. The Swans made an enquiry about Bothroyd, but found the Bluebirds valuation miles apart from their own.

The move never progressed to a serious bid, but Bothroyd has dismissed any likelihood of such a move calling the reports a 'load of rubbish'!

In addition to his dismissal, Bothroyd re-confirmed his commitment to the Bluebirds by stating:

'I am Cardiff through and through'!

There is no under-estimating the importance of Bothroyd to the team, he is crucial to the system we play and we do look unbalanced and under-strength when he isnt there. Some have criticised his determination, but a spirited and powerful display on Tuesday helped us to a win on Tuesday while Bothroyd also deserved a goal for his efforts.

In that game, Jay was made captain. He won't have that honour on Saturday as Mark Hudson returns to the starting XI but has done his favour no harm within the Cardiff City community with that performance and the latest quotes dismissing a move to Swansea City.
