Football The Focus Now For Cardiff City

Cardiff City's financial situation has been making the news far more regularly we'd wish, especially on the eve of a hugely important Champiosnhip clash against one of our rivals for a play-off spot.

After three successive and impressive wins, Cardiff City faltered losing at home to Plymouth and surrendering a 4-0 lead against Peterborough at London Road. That adds further significance to tomorrow's game at home to Blackpool FC, assuming that the weather does not intervene and necessitate another postponement.

Ian Holloway's side have been brilliant this season and sit in eight place in the league and with games in hand to regain the play-off place they have held for much of the season. The Seasiders have surprised many with their form, but are known to be less effective away from home.

Cardiff City captain Mark Hudson recently admitted that the players were aware of the financial uncertainty surrounding CCFC, but there is no room for that tomorrow. We were given a great many apologies and promises following the Peterborough debacle, and the fans will be desperately hoping for some cheer.

The fans turn up week in week out for the players, and the team. No matter what your feeling about the HMRC bill, and Peter Ridsdale's promises - tomorrow is not about those matters:
