Cardiff City Reject Returned By Leeds United

Cardiff City defender Tony Capaldi has returned to the Bluebirds after completing a loan spell with Leeds United and making 5 appearances for the Whites. He was an unused substitute as Leeds shocked Manchester United on Sunday and never ended up on the losing side during his loan.

Capaldi is surplus to requirements at the CCS and is behind McNaughton, Paul Quinn and Mark Kennedy for the left-back position. It had been thought that Leeds United were keen to turn the loan into a permanent move but this does not appear to be the case and Leeds now have Andrew Hughes and Ben Parker available to fill that position.

Unfortunately, the return of Capaldi takes up valuable space on the wage bill for the Bluebirds and will hit our options in secureing new signings during the current window, assuming that the HMRC debt is cleared.

Darcy Blake and Warren Feeney have also been sent out on loan, Feeney is back with the Bluebirds while Plymouth Argyle are hit with a transfer embargo and are currently unable to renem Blake's loan - though they would like to.
