Cardiff City Heating Now Fully Operational
Cardiff City's undersoil heating has not been fully installed and is 'operational' after Saturday's fiasco which led to postponement of the Leicester City clash and the ire of both home and away fans.
Previously, the piped has been laid, but the boiler system has not bee completely calibrated and was not functional. Mr Ridsdale stressed that sufficiently cold weather was required to test the system before it could be used. It just so happened that the first opportunity to do this fell on a matchday. Dubious and ever so slightly embarassing.
That said, the heating is now fully ready to use and we should never again have a game called off due to a frozen pitch.
Nevertheless, doubts remain as to whether the Boxing Day clash with Plymouth Argyle will be playable, the pitch will be fine but conditions outside the ground with widespread compacted ice surrounding CCS may cause another postponement if it causes sufficient danger to the public.
