Leicester City One To Watch - Matty Fryatt

Cardiff City are preparing to face high-flying Leicester City at the CCS tomorrow, and the newly promoted Foxes should provide a stern test for the in-form Bluebirds.

Leicester have suprised many this season and occupy a play-off place despite having only recently returned to Championship level. Richie Wellens, Andy King and Jack Hobbs are all good players and deserve to play in this league.

However, the dangerman for Leicester City is undoubtedly striker Matty Fryatt. The top scorer for the Foxes is a proven goalscorer and has continued his exploits of last season by hitting 10 league goals alread this season putting him high on the list of Champiosnhip scorers.

Fryatt has attracted interest from numerous clubs over the past few seasons, and Leicester did well to hang onto a player who they paid just £350k for back in 2006. His in not a particularly big striker, but is agile, mobile and has a decent touch. More specifically, he has a knack for finishing and can also create chances for other playrs.

Mark Hudson has been much improved in recent weeks, but the Bluebirds captain is likely to be tasked with marking the imposing Steve Howard if selected so Anthony Gerrard may be the one whose battle with Fryatt will be important. As the home team, and having won three on the bounce, Cardiff City will be expected to attack - and that will mean that Fryatt's role is even more important for Leicester City. He only needs one chance, and the Bluebirds will need to be in top form to keep Fryatt quiet...
