Super Kev Returns For Cardiff City - Take Two!

Cardiff City welcome back fit again defender Kevin McNaughton as we entertain Preston North End tomorrow with the Scotman looking to put his injury nightmares behind him and add to the few minutes of football he's managed so far this term.

McNaughton picked up a serious ankle problem during the pre-season game against Celtic. That problem kept him out until November leaving Paeul Wuinn, Mark Kennedy and the impressive Adam Matthews to fill the full-back positions.

McNaughton finally made his comeback during the 1-0 away defeat at Barnsley, but was devastated by a slight tear to his hamstring which saw him withdrawn after just 20 minutes. He was bitterly disappointed and cut a forlorn figure as he trudged off the Oakwell pitch.

The tear was reveled to be very minor, and Dave Jones has confirmed that McNaughton is in contention for tomorrow's PNE clash. It is inconceivable to drop Adam Matthews on current form but many CCFC fans would be happier to see McNaughton's work-rate, preceision and mettle back in the side. A second start of the season, this time in a left-back role, is a distinct possibility.

Hopefully, the return will last a lot longer this time round!
