TG Saves The Day For Cardiff City !!!

Amid a pretty turbulent day, Cardiff City Football Club has announced the most significant off-field move since the Langston court case with the appointement to the board of Dato Tien Ghee (TG) - the Malaysian businessmen who has been closely linked with the club in recent months.

The move is particularly significant just hours after news broke that the club has won a reprieve in court to prevent a winding-up order, essentially being granted a stay of exectution. Apparently on the back or that court decision, TG was able to join the board surely paving the way for investment and a way to solve our cashflow crisis.

Undoubtedly this means that a recent 'price-freeze' by CCFC on season ticket sales was intended to raise short term cash to pay the tax man. However, Ghee's decision to join must also mean an end to the Langston threat of legal action. Although there is no official statement to that effect, TG simply would not have joined unless a serious indication had been made.

An interesting day for CCFC....the significance of which we should find out shortly.
