New Injury Blow For Cardiff City's McNaughton

Cardiff City full-back Kevin McNaughton is a key member of the Bluebirds squad but has yet to make a first team appearance this season after suffering injury in the pre-season game against Celtic.

He returned to training two weeks agao, and was named on the bench for the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace but has now received a further blow after picking up a calf strain in training.

Having been out of action for two months, McNaughton has picked up the new problem and will now face a frustrating wait before making his full comeback.

This latest blow will see him miss the clash against Sheffield United, and almost certainly against Nottingham Forest. However, he should be back following that game and looking to break back into the starting line-up.

Whilst normally a certain starter, McNaughton will find it difficult to oust youngster Adam Matthews from the team after some brilliant performances from the young right-back. Mark Kennedy is also performing a solid role for City while the likes of Capaldi, Quinn and Comminges are barely getting a look-in.
