Cardiff City face Coventry City tonight with the Bluebirds looking for a third win in four games and the Sky Blues hoping to halt an alarming slide down the Championship table.
Caridff City fans could be forgiven for keeping an eye on the Coventry front-line with Clinto Morrison in the goals so far this term. He is joined by two players strongly linked with the Bluebirds over the past couple of seasons with Leon Best and Freddie Eastwood contributing a decent goal threat. Eastwood was publically deemed 'not good enough' by Dave Jones, while he would have been devastated to see a goal ruled out for handball in this fixture last year - the handball was at the otehr end of the pitch and a minute previous!
However, the player most worthy of note in the Coventry City side may be Kieran Westwood. The goalkeeper is widely regarded as an excellent prospect and may well be the best goalkeeper outside of the Premiership. He is an Irish International and was voted into the Championship best XI last year.
Despite Coventry's poor form, Westwood remains a quality keeper and is looking more assured as he gains experience. Some stunning saves are complimented with solid kicking and a good command of his area - an attribute Cardiff City fans are not accustomed to seeing.
Chopra and Bothroyd will both be looking for a goal tonight but will have to beat a very good goalkeeper to do so. If only a freak training ground accident would see him miss tonight's game allowing Dimi Konstantopoulos to take over.....
