Cardiff City vs Crystal Palace (Team News)

Cardiff City will definitely be without midfielder Stephen McPhail who is recovering after neck surgery. The obvious choice to replace the play-maker is Joe Ledley but the Welshman missed both Wales games this week with a hip problem. Ledley will face a late fitness test ahead of the game.

Youngster Adam Matthews missed the Wales U21s game with an ankle injury but is set to recover in time for the Palace match while fellow full-back Kevin McNaughton makes a welcome return to the Bluebirds bench.

Another returning player is last season's top scorer Ross McCormack who returns after a hamstring problem - he will take his place on the bench and is hungry for goals. Warren Feeney is also back in contention but is not expected to feature while Kelvin Etuhu remains out of action and is back at Manchester City.

Crystal Palace also welcome back several players from injury lay-offs with Stern John (elbow), Freddie Sears (ankle) and last season's villain Claude Davis (hamstring) set to feature for the first time since his elbow on Roger Johnson.

Good news for Cardiff City is a hamstring injury for tricky attacker Victor Moses making him a major doubt for the Eagles .
