Changes Afoot For Lacklustre Bluebirds

Cardiff City boss Dave Jones will make changes for tonight's clash with Aston Villa with few players safe from the chop after Saturday's dismal showing.

Those players who were unceremoniously hauled off would be those fearing for their place but Jay Bothroyd will start due to lack of altrenative options. Additionally, Solomon Taiwo will miss out as he is ineligible having represented his previous club Dagenham and Redbridge (against Cardiff City) earlier in the competition.

That leaves Peter Whittingham who could be dropped, andfew would argue given his poor form of late. There have been few moments of quality and Whitts just hasn't contributed enough of late. However, Whittingham would be fired up against his formed club and is often more effective against Premiership style sides away from the battleground that is the Championship.

Jones will almost certainly hand a chance to Enckelman in goal, while Gyepes will also hope for a re-call. Both full-backs could be swapped for Matthews and Capaldi while Gavin Rae looks set for a re-call with Stephen McPhail suspended.
