Reprieve For Cardiff City Strike Duo

Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has handed anotehr chance to the starting strike duo who failed so miserably against QPR. Chopra cut a lonely figure and barely got a sniff while Bothroyd too was non-existent and was hauled off to allow Josh Magennis to add some energy to our attack.

However, whilst changes will be made - Chopra and Bothroyd will be spared and will get the change to face Aston Villa tonight. The decision is partly made in faith to the pair who have looked dangerous at times, but owes more to the fact that we have no other options!

The only option available to Jones would be to include youngster Josh Magennis, but he is very raw and does not have the gametime to be thrown in against Premiership quality sides like Villa - he's barely featured in the Championship.

McCormack and Etuhu are both injured, Parry has departed and Warren Feeney is also injured but appears to have no future at the club.
