Reading FC One To Watch: Noel Hunt

Cardiff City travel to face Reading FC tonight but the Royals look a shadow of their former selves, are without a win in eleven home games and do not have the quality star names that have seen them perennial challenging at the top end of the Championship. However, whilst their start to this season has not set the world alight, they are a good side at this level and will be a difficult team to beat under any circumstances.

One man in particular stands out as a key player in the Royals dressing room. Despite brother Stephen joining Hull City, his brother Noel remains a Reading player and is an important member of the set-up. He is a dangerous striker, typified by a high work ethic and he creates a great deal for his side.

Hunt has 2 goals so far this season, which puts him at the top of Reading`s goalscorer list but his contribution is much more than goals. He is a current Republic of Ireland International and has represented his country at various levels.

Not an especially big player, Hunt is nevertheless a problem for opposition defenders and he puts himself around - he can cause problems for Cardiff City`s centre-back and they will need to keep a close eye on him and whoever accompanies him up-front.

Reading goalkeeper is another dangerman we need to watch, Cardiff City fans will hardly want to remember that Adam Federici scored an equaliser against us last season in the 6th minute of added time to break Bluebirds hearts.
