Cardiff City Want Reading's 'Monkey' Undisturbed

Cardiff City travel to face Reading FC tonight hoping for a win following two disappointing defeats for the Bluebirds. Reading are not in the best of shape and have a winless streak at home that stretches back an astonishing ELEVEN games - that`s despite an impressive season last year where they narrowly missed out on promotion.

The poor form of the Royals has not gone un-noticed by Cardiff City, with boss Dave Jones quick to point out their struggles. He told BBC Radio Wales:

"There`s a monkey on their back for sure, and our job is to make sure it stays there!"

"Having said that, we know we have to be at our best every game in this league and while our performance on Sunday
(against Newcastle United) wasn`t the worst, we know we can do a lot better."

A jump up to fourth place is on offer should the Bluebirds bounce back from successive defeats, however - a third loss on the bounce would be a worrying loss of form and one we must strive to avoid. Reading know they need to drastically improve their own home form and will be tough opposition tonight.
