Cardiff City Capture Manchester City Starlet

Cardiff City have completed the signing of Kelvin Etuhu from Manchester City on a season-long loan. The 21 year old is primarily a stiker but can also operate in a wide role.

Etuhu has made 10 appearances for Man City scoring 1 goal and was a regular substitute with the Citizens. He is a pacy and powerful player and will add much needed squad depth with no cover previously available for Bothroyd & Chopra with McCormack out injured.

Etuhu signed in time to go straight into the squad for tomorrow's clash against Bristol City. He will presumably start on the bench bu may well make an appearance.

At first glance, this looks like a good capture from messrs Ridsdale and Jones. He will add some much needed depth, cover and arrives with a good pedigree and reputation.

Welcome to Cardiff City Kelvin Etuhu!

I've never seen him play up front... for the senior team at least he's always played right midfield.

Thats also useful to us - do you think he'll be a good championship player?

I'm not sure to be honest.... one minute he looks decent but the next he looks absolute bobbins. He's big and quick but lacking end product. I think he'll do ok for you but don't expect him to set the world of fire. He reminds me a lot of Ishmael Miller. When he came through he played left midfield and was similar to Etuhu... then when he went West Brom he moved up front and did pretty well.

well it adds more depth anyway something which we were seriously lacking! i also agree that top six is probably out of reach without more depth shroom!

we apparently beat off both hull and portsmouth to this loan signing. makes you wonder how much we are paying for him in terms of fee and wages.

Hopefully we can bring more player's to the team, and we hope he's good, not like some of the other striker's we picked on a season long loan. But i hope he does well!!

Hull, porstmouth and wolves - all prem clubss after him. Man city also want him to stay so they think he has a prem future.
