Cardiff City Man Gutted After Injury Blow

Cardiff City striker Ross McCormack has spoken of his anguish after a tear to his hamstring has ruled him out for at least 6 weeks. In fact, McCormack`s absence is likely to be for longer to avoid the risk of a re-currance of the injury.
McCormack told The Sun:
"I knew I'd done my hamstring as soon as I overstretched. I'm so disappointed about it but I'm going to take my time with things. I'll work hard and hopefully come back as quickly as I can but I won't come back earlier than I should."
"It's hard that I can't do well for Cardiff or Scotland for the next few weeks. I'd been playing well so far this season."
"For the first game I was on the left of midfield and did really well. Then against Blackpool I was just off the front two and it was going good."

The injury leaves Cardiff City with just two front-line strikers (Bothroyd & Chopra) with only youngster Josh Magennis available as cover. Last season`s loan signing Eddie Johnson has not been replaced while Paul Parry, also able to operate in attack recently left to join Preston North End - again he has not been replaced.
Additionally, this injury blow seems certain to ensure that McCormack will be a Cardiff City player when the transfer window shuts at the end of this month. Continued speculation of a big money move has failed to materialise into anything more substantial than an initial Hull City bid - rejected by the Bluebirds. With Rosco out until October, he looks set to be a Bluebird until January at least.
