'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blackpool FC One To Watch: Ian Holloway

Cardiff City travel to Blackpool on Saturday looking for another 3 points to continue our winning start to the season. The Seasiders are one of the bookies favourites for promotion but survived last season and will be looking to improve on that this year.

Blackpool have a number of solid Championship players in Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Burgess and Keith Southern. New signing Charlie Adam is tipped for a bright future and can create goals from midfield - he recently joined in a £500k deal from Rangers.

However, rather than any one dangerous player, Vital Cardiff has selected the inimitable Ian Holloway as the key man on Saturday. The former Plymouth Argyle and QPR manager has made a name for himself as somewhat of a joker, and has provided a number of comedy moments throughout the years. However, he also managed to instill character, togetherness and belief in his squads and appears an excellent motivator.

'Ollie' will have his Seasiders fired up for this game, using our history, 4-0 previous result and his friendship with Dave Jones to coax 100% from his team. He will have a gameplan, and you can bet he knows where our weaknesses lie.

It's always entertaining coming up against a character like Ian Holloway, his antics are much much funnier though when Cardiff City have just beaten him rather than the other way round...
