'If It's Football, It's Vital'
Media Acclaim for Cardiff City's 'Ayatollah'
Cardiff City's unique celebration of the Ayatollah - a frantic slapping of the head regularly seen at Ninian Park (and sure to continue at CCS) has been recognised as a top sporting celebration in a feature on The Independent website today.
Along with greats such as Klinnsman, Tiger Woods and Rafael Nadal - the feature includes a toothy picture of Wales/Lions rugby player Gareth Thomas performing the Ayatollah after scoring.
Welsh swimmer David Davies and Gavin Williams (formerly of Yeovil Town) have also performed the Ayatollah following their own personal triumphs.
