Cardiff City Confirm McNaughton Switch

Cardiff City Confirm McNaughton Switch

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has confirmed a move in position for consistent defender Kevin McNaughton and given a clear indication of his plans for the coming season.

"It`s going to be a difficult test for the lads and I want a look at Kevin McNaughton playing left-back," Jones told the Echo.

"We`ll see how that goes and it will give us another option."

Feeling amongst the Bluebirds are that McNaughton and Quinn are the best players, meaning Kev will switch to the left to accomodate Paul Quinn on the right. Kev has operated there on numerous occasions and looked comfortable.

McNaughton switching to the left means that Mark Kennedy and Tony Cpaldi will find it increasingly difficult to get a game with the latter widely tipped to move on.

He's staying in USA until next week, but I've heard he will be allowed to leave permanently or on loan if any offers come in. If they dont, we will make some offers ourselves!
