Cardiff City Ledley Transfer Saga Continues

Cardiff City midfielder Joe Ledley's future is still far from certain with the new season approaching and interest firming up from the numerous interested parties. Ledley's contract expires in a year and though he and the club are willing to discuss a new deal - Ledley's agent is apparently not - a bizarre situation!


Everton are long time suitors and are ready to offer cash plus Victor Anichebe on a season-long loan. Stoke City and Fulham are both also very interested in the player and could come in with rival bids.


Interest firmed up from Everton and Stoke City over the weekend, Ledley would surely prefer a move to Merseyside but was also prepared to switch to the Potteries last summer.


We will be looking for a fee of £4m+ but unless Ledley does agree to a new deal - we could be forced to accept a fee of around half that fvalue to avoid losing him for nothing next year. That would mean a Premiership club could agree a pre-contract from 1st of January and we'd be stuck with a player with his heart and mind elsewhere.
