Cardiff City Transfers Hit By Injury Blow

Cardiff City have been dealt some bad news this week with the revelation that estranged striker Warren Feeney will need an operation.

feeney was never likely to figure in the Bluebirds' plans this season, and looked certain to be on his way to Leeds United last week. However, the Elland Road outfit pulled out over fitness concerns and the hip problem will require surgery.

Although not expected to play, Feeney's departure was necessary for City to move in the transfer market, with the wage bill needing to be cut before new players come in.

If we are unable to offload Feeney, we may have to forego the signing of another striker. Hopefully this will not be the case, and we can bring in another option. A loan deal for Feeney is also an option with Grimsby among those interested but this is an untimely and disruptive blow to our pre-season plans.
