'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Player Ratings (CCFC vs SUFC)

ALEXANDER: 6/10
no real shots to save, tidy performance, beaten by a well placed shot.

LEDLEY: 7/10
still learning the new position but committed and full of running, will get forward more when more confident.

WESTON: 6/10
looked rusty but grew into the game, some possession given away but took every chance to clear, gave everything.

PURSE: 7/10
back to normal solid display until forced of at HT. Organised defence well and supported Weston at right back.

LOOVENS: 7/10
went for every ball, good intereceptions and solid clearances.

COOPER: 5/10
failed to link play as well as usual, slowed down breaks and missed good chance.

SCIMECA: 5/10
off the pace and often gave away possession, strong and willing but not comfortable on the ball

BOLAND: 6/10
always energetic and available to receive the ball, slowed down many Sheffield breaks

KOUMAS: 8/10
completely different class, everything went through JK, was annoyed with some misplaced passes but some great touches and kept Sheffield wary all over the pitch.

THOMPSON: 7/10
good play around the box and held ball up well but not in areas to hurt Sheffield. Needs more crosses.

JEROME: 5/10
some questions over committment, failed to take the game to Sheffield and lost enthusiasm, was never going to get many chances but didnt really look up for it.

SUBS:

COX (PURSE 45): 6/10
just what you'd expect, big, strong & committed

WHITLEY (BOLAND): 6/10
energetic and whole-hearted, gave everything when he came on.

PAUL PARRY:
found some space but unable to really run at defenders.
