'Wonderkid' Linked With Cardiff City
Cardiff City have been linked with one of the brightest prospects in Eurropean football with Scottish Newspaper the Daily Record understanding we have made contact with James McCarthy.
McCarthy is being tracked by the most prestigious clubs in the continent with Barcelona and Liverpool amongst those credited with an interest.
MCarthy si being lined up by Cardiff City, and several London based clubs including Tottenham Hotspur. Quite how we are linked with McCarthy is unknown - it seems highly unlikely we could outbid such clubs for his signature but we do have a decent track record in attracting players from Scotland.
McCarthy looks set to leave current club Hamilton Academicals despite having two years remaining on his contract. He is extremely highly rated and has represented Ireland at youth levels.
