Cardiff City Set To Sign Keeper Marshall

Cardiff City are reportedly on the verge of adding to the under strength goalkeeping department with the capture of Norwich City stopper David Marshall.

The 24 year old was an ever present for the Canaries last season but is seeking a new club following their relegation to league 1.

Cardiff City have sent Tom Heaton, Stuart Taylor and Dimi Konstantpoulos back to their parent clubs and are not looking to sign any of the former loanees on a permanent basis despite all indicating they would consider a summer move to Cardiff. With just Peter Enkelman and youngster Erwin Sak on the books, we need someone and have yet to find the long term replacement for Neil Alexander.

A fee has reportedly been agreed with Norwich City and personal terms are under discussion. Marshall has aspirations of playing the Premeirship and for Scotland for whom he has two friendly caps.

Marshall narrowly missed out on the Norwich City player-of-the-year award and eventually came in third place.
