Cardiff City's season ended on a sour note and the various loan players we had at the club have returned to their parent clubs porbably feeling pretty low.
Goalkeepers Tom Heaton and Stuart Taylor have returned to Manchester United and Aston Villa respectively. Both enjoyed a spell as number one, and both aquitted themselves reasonably well however neither will be top of the Bluebirds fans' wanted lists as we search for a new goalkeeper.
Another such player is Dimi Konstantopoulos, who endured a nightmare spell between the sticks making a number of costly gaffes. He returns to Coventry City, but is expected to return to previous clu Hartlepool United in the future.
Qunicy Owusu-Abeyie has returned to Spartak Moscow after making just a handful of substitutes appearances for City. Many are disappointed he was never given a chance and dewspite looking sharp for Birmingham City, he made no significant contribution during his 4 month stay in South Wales.
The remaining loan player is Eddie Johnson, whom enjoyed highs and lows as a Bluebird - contributing to some extent but enjoying the (partly ironic) adulation from the fans. He was hopeless at times, effective at others but did not have the impact over the season that we would have liked and never seriously challenged Jay Bothroyd for a starting place. He returns to Fulham.
Michael Chopra is to all intents a Cardiff city player. Althouh officially on loan, the agreement is sorted and we will pay Sunderland a fee in the region of £500k for every season. He alone of the loan players has not been sent back to his parent club, hopefully he can now rest the troublesome heel problem and come back a lot better than he was recently.
