City fans are still experiencing the gut-wrenching feelings of missing out on the play-offs but after a long and ultimately disappointing season - we must turn immediately to the next campaign with play-offs again likely to be the expectation.
Plenty of speculation among Cardiff fans is whether Dave Jones truly is the right man to take us forward. He did a grweat backs-to-the-wall job in consolidating the squad and keeping us safe from relegation with virtually no funds to spend. However, a number of signings have flopped disasterously and he appears unable to get the best from talented players like Parry and Whittingham.
It seems an aboslute certainty that Peter Ridsdale will stick with Dave Jones despite calls from certain fans and David Giles for Jones to go. What are your opinions?
Has Jones taken us as far as we can go with his rigid 4-4-2 and tactical naivety? Or are fans too harsh on a man who has guided us to an FA Cup final and missed out on play-offs by the narrowest margin?
I am positive Dave Jones will stay, and believe that to be the right decision. however, he must shoulder some of the blame for the failure. We never had a plan B all season, we never adapt our own game and for a long long time our midfield balance has not been right.
A poll is open for your thoughts on Dave Jones. We''ll stick by him anyway but if you feel differently - speak out now!
