Rae Hails 'Brilliant' Cardiff City Team-Mate

Cardiff City midfielder Gavin Rae reserved special praise after his team-mate Ross McCormack starred in a 2-1 win for Scotland at Hampden Park last night.

McCormack impressed many with his determination and trickery while the striker also bagged the first goal with a well-placed finish in the first half.

Rae was full of compliments for his colleague and told Setanta:

"He was brilliant, especially with the performances in the last two games and he`s probably been man of the match in them then he gets a goal and you can`t ask for much more than that."

"He was giving great deliveries as well and overall he`s been great."

Ross has not played all that much recently for the Bluebirds, with a Chopra/Bothroyd partnership preferred us front by Dave Jones. However, this was a high quality performance from McCormack and he may be given the nod ahead of Chopra (who has struggled with a heel problem) or again be used in a wide left position.
