Quality Quincy To Get Cardiff City Chance

Cardiff City new recruit Quincy has been used as a bit-part player thus far in his Bluebirds career with just a handful of substitutes appearances to his name. The former Arsenal trainee, who can operate on the left flank or up-front has shown glimpses of promise but has not had enough gametime to really impress.

However, Dave Jones has promised Qunicy his chance will come and tonight's friendly against Merthyr Tydfil will provide a platform for several fringe players to build up fitness and stake their claims for a first team place. Quincy definitely falls into that bracket and his pace and trickery can prove a handful for any defenders.

Dave Jones told the SW Echo:

'Quincy is a quality player. He has pace and a directness which gives him something a little different to the other strikers we have at the club.'

'Any player who moves from Ajax, where he came through their youth system, to Arsenal and then Spartak Moscow, who paid £3m or £2m for him, is a quality player.'

Many fans were looking forward to Quincy contributing heavily to opur promotion bid, that has not yet happened and no-one will be more disappointed than the player himself who made some not-insignificant personal sacrifices to secure the move to Cardiff City.
