Cardiff City Snatch Last Gasp Winner !

Cardiff City scored a penalty after extra time has ended to give a massive boost to our promotion hopes. McCormack's late strike earned a corner, Roger Johnson's effort was handballed even though going wide - McCormack converted the penalty.

Early in the game, former Bluebird Jobi McAnuff won a penalty after a fould by McPhail but Jay Bothroyd equalised minutes later when Bothroyd connected with Burke's cross.

Cardiff were well on top in the first half but found it tough going. However the chances were few and far between.

McCormack missed a good chance early in the second half and while Watford were competitive and energetic - they rarely threatened yet kept us frustrated until we were let off by a needless handball (contested by the Hornets) right at the death.

Fan.....tastic !!!

That was close but in the end a good three points. Keeps your play-off hopes alive.
