Bluebirds See Mixed Bag Of Results But Swans Lose

Bluebirds See Mixed Bag Of Results But Swans Lose

Cardiff City saw Reading lose at home to Ipswich Town in a massive boost with the Royals currently in third place in the Championship.

Another bonus was an unexpected home defeat for Swansea City to Crystal Palace - the Jacks went down 3-1 to leave them 2 points adrift of us but having played THREE games more.

Unfortunately for City, that was where our luck ran out - Burnley demolished Notts Forest 5-0 while Preston North End cam from behind to win at Coventry City. Our other rivals Sheffield United fought off Derby County to win 4-2 while leaders Wolves saw off Chalrton Athletic.

The result mean Cardiff City could really use a point or three tomorrow - we have slipped out of the play-off positions but were given some hope despite wins for some of our rivals. Today's action saw Bristol City slip down the table to eigth and they will be looking for a win to lift them above the Bluebirds and into fifth.
