2000 Bluebirds On The Road To Southampton

Cardiff City have dispatched an impressive travelling cohort - now on the M4 or trains to see the Bluebirds take on struggling Southampton at St Mary`s. The match will be the 3rd in six days for City but that has done little to dampen interest in this match following the frustration caused by last Sunday`s bubble trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Around 2000 travelling Bluebirds will be present for today`s game and will hope to see a more free-flowing and incisive performance from the boys. Last Wednesday`s drab encounter against QPR was born from a change of personnel and tactics without Jay Bothroyd. Today`s encounter will likely be a tense affair but a draw does little for either side and both will be out for the win.

Cardiff City`s travelling support is simply fantastic. With the Saints in renewed hope of avoiding the dreaded drop - the atmosphere this afternoon promises to be excellent and a far cry from Wednesday`s low key and flat tone. Let`s hope the game also fulfils expectations and that Cardiff City come away with the points…
