Six In Six For Saints Goal Ace Saganowski

Cardiff City will come up against one of the in-from strikers of the Championship tomorrow when Polish attacker Marek Saganowski lines up against the Bluebirds for Southampton. Saganowski is well known in the Championship as a powerful striker with good feet and an eye for goal, he had been in poor form until a loan spell at Aalborg in Denmark re-juvenated his season. Since returning to Southampton he has been in impressive form and now has six goals for the season. Ominously for Cardiff City, those six goals have come in the last six matches!

Saganowski has netted six in six games, including a brace against Swansea City and another against Preston North End - both good sides. Add to that the defensive uncertainties over our selection with McNaughton, Johnson and Gyepes all doubtful and we could be looking at a tricky game tomorrow. No game in this division is easy, but against a Southampton side battling for their lives -we could do without such high profile injury worries. Stopping Saganowski is not the only key to a Bluebirds win, we also must watch for youngster David McGoldrick who impressed at Ninian Park and the threat of Andrew Surman from midfield. Of course, we also have to score to win and could be without Michael Chopra (heel) as well as Bothroyd who is definitely out.
