'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jones' Usual Comments & Souza's Crazy Ones!

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones was ruefully contented after gaining a point. He did however have reason to be disappointed with his side's performance. He told BBC Sport:

'It is a hard-earned point as they came with a plan to stop us playing and it worked. We had some good chances in the first-half and we just needed the break but we failed to break them down.'

'I thought we were defensively sound but we are going to get teams who won't allow us to play when we're at home and it will get twitchy but probably two years ago we would have lost a game like that.

'It is a good point earned.'

QPR manager Paulo Sousa thought his side played very well - they didn't! QPR were defensive and cagey, rightly so. They stuck to their gameplan and came away with a point, they did deserve it:

'We played very well against a team that wants to be in the Premier League next season.

'We have played well and created a lot of chances but we still need to win these games.

'When we don't get three points after playing so well it is frustrating but I'm always proud of the players, especially after coming here to a difficult place and doing so well.'
