Quincy Gets Cardiff City Fans' Nod

Cardiff City fans believe new signing Quincy Owusu-Abeyie should be the man to start on the Bluebirds' left flank as we travel to face league leaders Wolves on Sunday. With Joe Ledley moving inside to great effect, the left wing position became available for the first time in three years. Peter Whittingham and Paul Parry were prime candidates for the role, the former starting the last few matches with Whittingham injured but the capture of Quincy, initially on loan, has opened up further options for Dave Jones.

Initially a forward, Quincy spent time on loan at Birmingham City this season, playing in a wide left position - cutting in to great effect - this role seems a likely poition for him in the Blubirds set-up and is the fans choice to start after a recent poll on this Cardiff City website:

Quincy Owusu-Abeyie (53%)
Paul Parry (33%)
A.N.Other (4%)
Peter Whittingham (4%)
Joe Ledley (3%)
Ross McCormack (3%)

Wuincy stormed into an early lead in the voting, with only Paul Parry scoring a significant number of votes in reply. Gradually, the Welshman caught up with fans hoping to see him re-capture his best form but an ineffective showing at Arsenal has seen Quincy stride out in front as favourite to start.

Dave Jones is notoriously loyal to players in his starting line-up so Parry may yet get the nod - with Whitts and Quincy breathing down his neck, he need to show his best form - or head for the bench...
