Next Up Wolves Stuttering Before Cardiff Test

Cardiff City travel to Wolves on Sunday, looking to bounce back from the Arsenal defeat with a morale and promotion boosting victory over the Molineux outfit.

Wolves are currently sitting on top of the Champiosnhip table, and based on the leqague table alone - look a safe bet for promotion especially having led since beating Swansea City back in October. However, the table does not tell the full story and Wolves have been faltering recently, so much so they have lost their lead at the summit and look easily catchable. If you look at solely recent form, the last eight games have seen just one win, three draws and four defeats for Wolves - a points tally that would place the twenty-second in the league! Their home form is slightly better, but mid-table mediocrity at best and cardiff City will feel reasonably confident as they travel knowing a win could see ourselves close on an automatic promotion place.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have lost back-to-back league games (against Coventry City and Burnley) for only the second time this season and will be determined to halt that streak. Only once have they failed to score at home, a 1-0 defeat to Reading earlier this season and the obvious quality in the squad means they certainly cannot be ruled out

A great game in prospect, with both sides eager for a win and with probably an equal chance of grabbing one.
