Cardiff vs Swansea Moved For TV Coverage

Cardiff City's home match against Swansea City, scheduled for 3pm on April 4th has been moved to an earlier kick-off at 11am in the morning on Sunday April 5th!

The match will now be shown live on Sky TV but an 11am kick-off is surely down to safety fears and pressure from the South Wales Police. Of course, safety is a big concern and tensions are sure to be running high with both teams hoping to be involved in a promotion fight at that stage, but such an early kick-off causes severe inconvenience for many and is unlikely to have much effect on safety.

Much of the inconvenience will fall on Swansea City fans, who will now have to leave unsciably early on Saturday morning to be escorted along the M4 in time for the match. When we went to the Liberty Stadium earlier this season, it took FOREVER to get in.

This will be the last ever South Wales derby at Ninian Park, is sure to be huge in terms of attendence and outcome and should attract a large audience to SkyTV - the third time this season the two clubs will meet in front of the cameras.
